Back in 2019 when I was searching for a Master’s program, my highest priority was finding a program that would help me differentiate myself from others in my industry.  Other priorities included having the flexibility to complete the program remotely, being able to continue working full-time, and being able to complete the program on my own timeline. After much deliberation and many phone calls with universities across the country, I decided on the Operations Management program at the University of Arkansas.  This program has been extremely beneficial in not only my professional endeavors, but my personal life as well.

During my two years in the program, I took 12 diverse courses that have helped me tremendously in my career.  When I originally enrolled, COVID-19 was something we had all heard of, but no one knew the significant impacts it would have on our everyday lives.  Every one of my professors did a great job making applications to the global COVID environment and making me think in new ways during these challenging times of uncertainty.  My favorite courses were Organizing for Change, Leadership Principles, and Strategic Management.

I firmly believe that what I’ve learned in the Operations Management program will help me to not only advance my career, but also allow me to make a bigger impact in the communities I’m involved in.  I very much appreciate the efforts of all my professors during my time here, who often went the extra mile to take phone calls after hours or to assist me with any professional questions.
