After undergrad I wanted to continue my education within the engineering discipline. I found that the MSE program at the University of Arkansas was a good fit. UARK provided the necessary flexibility, support structure, and coursework variety needed for an online program. After completing the MSE in 2020, I proceeded to complete the MSEM program and a graduate certificate track in Lean Six Sigma. Both programs provided a plethora of learning and growth opportunities that have helped further my career.

Completing both programs at the University of Arkansas was a great experience. The professors and supporting staff were always willing to help. There were several courses during the programs that I found challenging and helpful in developing my skillset as an engineer. Some examples would be Dr. McCann’s controls courses, Professor Michealson’s Lean Six Sigma courses, and Professor Jones courses on Project Management.

I want to thank Dr. McCann, Dr. Couvillion, Dr. Gay, Dr. Huang, Professor Michealson, and Professor Jones for serving on the committees and providing career advice. I also want to thank Jane and Alyson for their support throughout the programs. Lastly, I want to thank my wife for supporting me throughout my academic endeavors. I plan to use what I have learned in both the MSE and MSEM programs to further build my skills as an engineer.
