“When I began looking for a Master’s program in fall of 2018, I was looking for a high-quality program offered 100% online that capitalized on real-world applicability to instill program outcomes. The MSOM program checked all of those boxes for me. The elective courses offered by UARK helped me customize the MSOM program to align with my career plans, fill knowledge gaps, and build upon my existing knowledge. I intentionally sought out ways to apply course concepts directly to my professional work life.

In fact, the MSOM curriculum played an instrumental role in facilitating my successful transition from an individual contributor role focused on human-capital to a leadership role within operations at my current organization. Since then, I continue to leverage the concepts I have learned from my coursework to navigate these new waters. Of those courses, the most beneficial to me have been Strategic Management, Change Management, Quality Management, and Lean Six Sigma. I have found that each of these courses reinforced one critical concept – to generate buy-in, support, and access to resources, always align business objectives to the mission, vision, and strategy. Additionally, the concept of continuous process improvement helped me recognize that not all initiatives need to reach for the sky. Oftentimes, the biggest changes can happen through little, continuous improvement measures over time.

I am incredibly grateful for the knowledge and skills I gained from the MSOM program. Throughout the program, I intentionally sought out ways to apply course concepts directly to my professional work life to expedite my learning, and I will continue to do so moving forward. I have already gained much through this program and am enthusiastic to see my career continue evolving beyond graduation.”
